Tour Info/ Changes
Originally we had a raindate posted for Saturday, August 14th for any tour date that was rained out prior to that date. We will not be using that date as Frozen Ocean which participated in the tour, is having a HUGE $$$ show that day and in the interest of cooperation and knowing that many of the tour racers want to go and claim some of the prize offered there, we have rescheduled the rained out show from Caroga Creek to Saturday, September 18th. Below are the remaining tour dates:
Sunday August 29th, 2010...Adirondack Karting Association...Racing Starts At Noon $200 Added to one of the Adult Classes!!
Go-Karts Only!
Saturday September 4th, 2010...Caroga Creek Raceway...Racing @ 7PM / $500 To Win Added To one of the Adult Classes!!
Saturday September 18th, 2010...Caroga Creek Raceway...Racing @ 7PM / $300 To Win Animal Heavy!!
We still have a raindate of September 5th to us for one of the first 2 on the list and if needed will make another raindate if necessary (LETS HOPE NOT!!!)
On a GREAT NOTE FOR THE RACERS!!! The tour event at Paradise was HUGE!!! I
We met with Richard from Frozen Ocean who came there specificly to speak with us and didn't want any conflict with the tour and his money race on the 14th... While speaking with Rich he informed me that he is very interested in doing the tour again and putting up HUGE MONEY for the race(s) that we give him dates for!!! Also Randy at Paradise is very interested in doing the tour again in 2011 and other than the late night that we'll have to address, everything else went very well and we are excited about the possiblities for the 2011 Tour!!!! If you have any ??? or suggestions, contact Tom or I at the track or you may call us anytime!!!

With the 2010 season right around the corner we have released the tentative
schedule for the NNY Slingshot & Kart Tour! This year we will run 6 races at
4 different tracks and there will be one throwaway. The classes
participating are: JR 1 Flathead, JR 1 Animal, JR 2 Flathead, JR 2 Animal,
JR 2 Pro (Flat), Stock Lite, Stock Heavy, Animal Heavy and Slingshots! All
classes are 50% payout at every event with the exception of some classes at
certain tracks where the payout will be listed as more. We are proud to have
Frozen Ocean and Paradise on board for 2010 as well as AKA and CCR!! We have
put together some pretty good $$ shows for 2010 and hope you'll give them a
shot.
There are still a few loose ends to be worked out and as I get more info, I
will post. Once again we encourage you to try one or all of these venues as
they are putting some decent $$ up for you the racers to run for. See you
soon!

1/13/10 ERIC MILLER & TOM HALL NAMED PROMOTERS OF THE YEAR AT SLINGSHOT BANQUET
The annual Tobias Slingshot Tour Awards Banquet was held on Saturday January 9, 2010 at the Lantern Lodge & Convention Center in Meyerstown, Pa. Over 200 racers and promoters attended from as far North as Quebec, South as
Florida and West as Minnesota. Awards for all the Slingshot touring series were given out as well as for both Senior and Junior Slingshot champions from each of the over 20 sanctioned speedways in the United States. The Caroga Creek Champions who were recognized were Senior Slingshot Champion Tom Rontondaro and Junior Slingshot Champion Mike Voght.
The evening awards program concluded with the naming of the prestigious "Promoter of The Year" award where successful promoters are nominated and then voted on by their peers. This years top award went to co-promoters Eric Miller & Tom Hall of Caroga Creek Raceway. These two have been nominated ever since taking over the reins of the speedway 3 years ago. It was noted that when they took over the speedway there were 3 slingshots running for points, compared to this years over 20 at times.
